Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Meishio is operated by [OPERATING ENTITY], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us about your use of Meishio. By creating an account or using Meishio you agree to them. Our privacy information explains how we handle personal data.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You need to be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and you must use Meishio for your own professional networking or for your organisation's. You sign in with an account from a provider such as Google. Keep that account secure: anything done through your Meishio account is your responsibility. One person per account; do not share it or sign in as someone else.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use Meishio to:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-collect data from Meishio, other users' public cards, or the web through Meishio Search;
• send spam or unsolicited bulk messages to the people in your contacts;
• import or store information about people without a lawful basis for holding it;
• break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harass anyone;
• probe, overload or get around the security or limits of the service, or access another user's data.

4. The contacts you upload

You decide which cards, contacts and notes you put into Meishio, and you are responsible for them. That includes having a lawful basis to hold each person's details, keeping your notes respectful and accurate, and answering any request those people make about their data. We process that information on your behalf to provide the service, as described in the privacy information.

5. AI features and accuracy

Meishio uses AI services to read cards, sort imports, suggest tags, write follow-up drafts and summarise research. AI output can be wrong or incomplete: a name misread, a title out of date, a draft that does not fit. Check what Meishio reads and suggests before you rely on it or send it to anyone. You are responsible for what you save and send.

6. Meishio Search and public web data

Meishio Search and research look for public web pages about people and companies, and suggest changes such as a new job title. Those results come from public sources we do not control, may be out of date, and are shown to you to accept or ignore. Use them in line with section 3 and the law that applies to you.

7. Free early access and future paid plans

Meishio is free while in early access. Some features have usage limits, such as research credits and Meishio Search updates. We may introduce paid plans later. If we do, we will tell you before any charge applies, and nothing will be charged without your agreement. Features available in early access may change.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Meishio at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users or the service at risk, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to download your data first. We may also end the service as a whole with reasonable notice.

9. Data export and deletion

You can download everything Meishio holds for your account from Settings, and delete your account there. What deletion removes, and the limited records kept afterwards, are described in the privacy information. Deleting your Meishio account does not delete contacts that are already in your Google account.

10. Intellectual property

Your content stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run Meishio for you. Meishio itself, including its software, design and name, belongs to us or our licensors; these terms do not give you any rights to it beyond using the service. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

11. Disclaimers and limits of liability

Meishio is provided “as is” and “as available”, especially during early access. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate. Keep your own copy of anything important; you can download it at any time.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, business or opportunities, and our total liability to you for any claim about Meishio is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for changes that matter we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Meishio after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can download your data and delete your account.
